Strictly fans spot the iconic BBC sitcom actor in the audience to support former co-stars

STRICTLY Come Dancing fans have been delighted to see a BBC actress and comedian in the audience for Musicals Week.

Strictly has taken inspiration from the scene this week as the couples perform dances to popular music musicalsand it has brought out a familiar face to support the audience.

Showing up to support Sarah Hadland as she performs alongside professional Vito Coppola, BBC fans were quick to spot one celebrity face in the Strictly audience.

Comedian and actress Miranda Hart was seen clapping after the opening musical number, with fans going wild for the star as she sat alongside co-star Patricia Hodge to hurray on Sarah Hadland.

A BBV viewer wrote on X: “It was amazing. Nice to see Miranda and Patricia Hodge in the audience.”

Another shared: “Just makes me so happy to see Miranda and Patricia in the audience.”

“Miranda family together. We love to see it,” added a third.

It’s not the first time Miranda has appeared in this year’s Strictly, as she previously made an appearance in one of Sarah and Vito’s rehearsals.

Cameon also comes as last month it emerged that BBC bosses are keen to try to sign up Miranda Hart for one future series of Strictly.

An insider told The Mail on Sunday: “Sarah and Miranda used to watch Strictly at home together before Sarah joined.

“It was their mutual dream to be on (the show). Ultimately, Miranda would love to go on the show.”

They added: “The BBC are desperate to get the big names back on the show.

“If they could tempt Miranda to do it, then it might encourage other big celebrities to do it again.

“Sarah is their hope because she is so close to Miranda.”
